English as a Foreign Language (EFL 1)

English as a Foreign Language (EFL 1 Intensive) is a course which helps non-native speakers to become English teacher. There are many countries with high demand for English teachers. Non-native English students are likely to have learned, are learning, or will learn to speak English at a school or academy. And those schools need teachers! Teachers like you who are thrilled at the prospects of moving abroad, living in a new culture, and finding those countries with a bustling job market for English teachers!

If you are looking for an opportunity which would help you to become English teacher in India or abroad. Regardless of where you go, you will find adventure in any part of the globe. The global population is getting bigger and technology is making it easier to connect and make the world much smaller than in the past. Countries that need English teachers are growing more than ever before. Teaching abroad will give you the ability to help people connect with those who really need to speak English for business, education, travel, and more.

Cambridge English Academy’s EFL1 (Intensive) has been created for experienced English Language teachers who want to update their language teaching skills and meet other language teaching professionals from India.

Course participants will engage in effective student-centred teaching methods through meaningful and interactive tasks with the intention of developing their current knowledge and language teaching practices. They will also collaborate and share different teaching experiences and create their own activities.

Emphasis will be placed on Communicative Language Teaching (CLT), Task Based Learning (TBL), Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) and Content-Based Instruction (CBI). Participants will also engage in and learn more about using authentic materials whilst integrating all four skills (Listening, Reading, Writing, & Speaking ) in their English language learning classroom. Finally, EFL 1 course participants will gain a deeper understanding of student versus teacher roles, contextualised grammar teaching, pronunciation activities, and become more effective in dealing with classroom management issues such as error correction and providing useful feedback.

By the end of the course, participants will have learned how to maintain student motivation and how to create and sustain an effective and stimulating learning environment. Teachers will also be given ideas for continuing their own professional development after the course.
